A recent maternity service user and mother of three, I am passionate about improving maternity, neonatal, and women’s health services through lived experience, leadership, and meaningful public involvement. My work in patient and public voice representation began as a Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) Lead, where I help ensure that the experiences of women and families inform the design, delivery, and improvement of services.
I hold several national patient representative roles, including membership of the NHS England Maternity and Neonatal Stakeholder Council and the MBRRACE-UK Collaboration. I also contribute to research with leading academic institutions, including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Lancashire, and King’s College London, supporting the integration of lived experience into research, policy, and service improvement. In addition, I serve on the PRSB Assurance Committee and the International Labour & Birth Conference Steering Group. As Public Contributor Champion for the Women’s Health theme, I am committed to ensuring patient and public perspectives shape research and decision-making to improve outcomes for women and families.
