Analogue2Digital supports the shift from traditional, face-to-face consultation-based ‘analogue’ models of care to more continuous and personalised ‘digital’ approaches.

We design and evaluate digital tools for self-care, remote monitoring and assistance, and better integration of services within healthcare and between health and social care.

A key focus is ensuring that digital innovation reduces, rather than widens, health inequalities. We explore issues such as digital access, skills, and confidence, particularly for underserved communities and support capacity building. We also work with industry partners to co-design and evaluate equity aware AI solutions including the switch from read-type, app-based technologies to conversational, voice-AI that could be less digitally demanding on patients. This work helps health and care systems adopt digital solutions that are inclusive, evidence based, and person centred.

Key topics: digital health, healthcare AI, health technology, digital inclusion, prevention, self-care, remote monitoring, virtual care.
