Older adults and dementia subtheme

The Older adults and dementia subtheme is continued from the first iteration of our NIHR ARC NWC, which ran from 2019-2026. We are closely working with people with lived experiences of ageing and dementia, unpaid carers, care professionals in health and social care, charities, and commissioners, to create meaningful and relevant research and implementation to address health inequalities for people in the later stages of life and those with young- and late-onset dementia, their carers, and the care workforce. Each project has patient and public and stakeholder involvement. We are actively supporting our ARC NWC members to apply for and conduct 12-month research internships to learn new skills and research a topic relevant to their organisation.
