Thursday, May 19, 2022, marked the 11th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone discussing, thinking and learning about digital access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.
The ARC NWC website user group met for the first time in April and voted to renew innovative cloud-based software Recite Me to ensure the ARC NWC website is inclusive and accessible to all users and lets visitors view and use our website in a way that works best for them.
The pioneering tool bar helps the one in five people in the UK who have a disability, including those with common conditions like sight loss and dyslexic. It also meets the needs of the one in ten people in the UK who don’t speak English as their first language, by being able to translate the ARC NWC web content into over 100 different languages.
