Professor Dame Caroline Watkins is an NIHR Senior Investigator, and the UK’s only nursing professor of stroke care. Caroline leads the internationally renowned Clinical Practice Research Unit (CPRU) for stroke research, is Director of Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit (Lancashire CTU), and Director of Capacity Building and Implementation for NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care North West Coast. She also has a research record in rehabilitation in older adults and falls prevention.
