Alan is Public Advisor Co Lead of MIDAS and has been with Arc NWC for 4 years. Alan worked in the transport and distribution industry for 34 years at management level. He has been a key member on various research and evaluations over the years. In 2019 Alan was part of the Mersey Care Life rooms research team, that won the Northwest Innovation Award for co-production. Alan is co author on various papers including: Social prescribing for people with mental health needs living in disadvantaged communities The Life Rooms model, published by the BMC. Mental health services and talking therapies including art therapy are areas Alan is keen to represent and improve. Alan is also a professional portrait artist.
