PhD students welcomed to ARC NWC
A special virtual welcome event was held for the first batch of PhD students to be funded by ARC NWC. Covering several universities across the North West Coast, the event featured an introduction to the role of public advisers, the importance of health inequalities and the support networks and reosurces available for students.
Student research proposals included social prescribing communities/impact on communities, inequalities in children’s emergency care, access to community support services (dementia) and how multi-morbidity clusters are impacted by health inequalities.
We wish them all well and look forward to hearing about their progress via social media, the ARC NWC newsletter and future ARCFESTs.
