North West Cancer Research is interested in funding work which will help to explain the impact which poverty and deprivation has upon cancer prevalence, outcomes and access to services in our region. There is a mass of literature in this area, but very little which can be applied directly to the North West and North Wales.

We are interested in your ideas for how we could fund work in this area. It could be that you are interested in a particular aspect of this work – looking at a small area, a community, a single factor, or part of the impact which deprivation has – or it could be that you would take a broader view and strategic oversight of all the factors together.

The Charity is seeking ideas which it could incorporate into its funding plans for the coming financial year, which might result in an open funding round or working with a small number of researchers to develop a way forward.
