Community Research and Engagement Network (CoREN) Evaluation Study
This evaluation study is being undertaken by Lancaster University researchers connected to the ARC NWC. ARC NWC researchers work with members of the public and a wide range of partner organisations, bringing people together to work on improving health and care provision so that people in this region can live longer and have healthier lives.
What is the study about?
The Community Research and Engagement Network (CoREN) was established in 2019 and is an umbrella term for a number of initiatives in ARC NWC created to engage and support Member Organisations and Public Advisors with their research and implementation ideas and projects. The purpose of the CoREN is to provide a platform for ARC NWC members, the wider Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector and others interested in research to exchange knowledge and expertise, and to learn from each other, in order to support the development, dissemination, and implementation, of health and social care research.
We are carrying out this evaluation study to gain a better understanding of how the CoREN is developing and working in practice. The evaluation will also explore how the activities and connections supported through the CoREN have informed and influenced community focused research within ARC NWC.
We would like to know about your experiences of the CoREN, your involvement in health and social care research, and your views about the extent to which service users, professionals and academics collaborate to produce health and social care research in our region.
We know there is already a huge amount of research and evaluation work being carried out right across the area by organisations large and small. To make best use of this, we want to understand about the work you are doing. We also want to understand what you know of the CoREN and about your involvement, and how we can work in the future to better support you. The survey shouldn’t take too long and we really appreciate any help you can offer.
You can find the survey here.
