ARC NWC and BoingBoing Foundation are syncing up to bounce towards change for Societal Resilience and Health Equity

The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast proudly welcomes BoingBoing Foundation, a dynamic charity pioneering resilience research and social justice initiatives, as our newest member organisation.

Established in June 2021, BoingBoing Foundation swiftly became a force in social justice, offering an innovative approach to resilience research that aligns seamlessly with ARC NWC’s mission for a more equitable health and care system.

BoingBoing Foundation’s emphasis on those facing multiple systemic disadvantages resonates with ARC NWC’s commitment to addressing underrepresentation within the charity sector, underscoring the importance of promoting equality and diversity in research and practice.

ARC NWC Director, Professor Mark Gabbay said “This partnership signifies our collective commitment to advancing applied health and care research, promoting equality, equity and fostering positive societal change.”

In this collaboration, ARC NWC aims to amplify its impact by integrating BoingBoing Foundation’s expertise in resilience research and social justice into its framework.

Foundation Co-lead of The BoingBoing Foundation and the ARC NWC Equitable Placed Based Health and Care Theme (EPHC) are currently collaborating through the Fylde Research Consortia to explore opportunities and amplify the impact of community initiatives in coastal areas on both people and places. The EPHC Theme Manager is enthusiastic about solidifying this collaboration by welcoming BoingBoing as a member in the ARC.

ARC NWC invites individuals, organisations, and stakeholders to actively engage with this collaboration, offering opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and involvement in ongoing initiatives.

Dr Henry Pollock, Co-lead of The BoingBoing Foundation said “Together, we work to shape a more inclusive, resilient, and just society. As our efforts align, we navigate towards a vision of a future that is free from unfair social determinants, where the structures of society no longer limit our prospects of living happy, healthy lives.”
