We are re-launching the MIDAS’ Clinical Trials Methodological Sub-Group in January 2025.
Some of you may have been a member of this group in the past and others are interested potential new members. The group is a mixture of academics, trial methodologists and healthcare professionals with an interest in clinical trials. Our aim is to exchange knowledge and learn from others by discussing key issues / developments in clinical trials. We welcome new members and you do not need to be an expert in trials, simply being interested and wanting to learn is enough.
We welcome new members to the group.
If you think there are people you know who would be interested in joining the group, please ask them to contact Mark Goodall (mgoodall@liverpool.ac.uk).
MIDAS Clinical Trials Methodological Sub-Group
On Friday 31st January 2-3pm, we will hold our first session titled ‘What’s new in clinical trial designs’, a short 30-minute talk by Professor Lyvonne Tume (Edge Hill University). After this we will feedback the results of our survey and discuss what the members of the group want to hear about, what priorities there may be and how to develop the group, discuss any optimal times/days and how often these meetings should be held.
We have a very short survey for you to complete (max. 5 mins) to help us understand what you would like out of the group and how best to facilitate this in preparation of discussing at the first session.
The deadline for this is 21 January 2025.
Co-leads of the Sub-group:
Professor Lyvonne Tume (Edge Hill University)
Matthew Burns (University of Central Lancashire)
Dr Mark Goodall (University of Liverpool)
