Book your free place via Eventbrite – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/hidden-communities-setting-priorities-for-research-tickets-591301096497

Join award-winning arts and health organisation (Royal Society of Public Health, 2022) Made By Mortals for an interactive workshop. Using sound design, original music and guided by the voices of people with lived experience you will meet Joanna. Joanna is a fictional character. She likes to wear colourful clothes when she can. Joanna has psychosis. She spent much of her time in hospital struggling to get better. Joanna also has type two diabetes.

“Her health provision moved online.
Life moved online.
And Joanna was left behind”.

Discuss the barriers that Joanna and people like her face in setting the priorities for health research. Joanna has plenty to say. She has a voice. She knows what’s important for her and people like her. She knows what questions need asking. Help her overcome the things that
stand in the way of being heard. Help her lead on research that matters.

“Nothing about us, without us.”
