IMPaCT Roundtable: Mental Health Research and Implementation

Earlier this year ARC NWC received £750k funding to increase mental health research and implementation capacity. This initiative is being managed by an IMPaCT mental health roundtable with membership from different stakeholders including public advisers. The funding has allowed us to extend our successful workforce internship scheme to support more mental health specific projects over the next two years. We are also offering funding to support early career researchers develop bids for fellowships or grant applications. Applications for both schemes open in May and there will be a workshop for potential applicant at June’s ARCFEST.

The roundtable recently launched a consultation to map what expertise we already have in mental health research and to find out what our members think our mental health research priorities should be. If you haven’t completed these yet then please do as this will allow us to compare expertise with needs and better support projects that address local priorities. We will also be able to keep in touch with you about future mental health research opportunities.

The consultation on academic expertise can be found here:

and the consultation on service priorities can be found here.
