How does where we live influence our mental and physical health and care?
About this Event – Date And Time Fri, 19 March 2021 10:00 – 14:00 GMT
Between 2015 and 2018, we spoke to around 7,000 residents across the North West Coast region as part of our NIHR CLAHRC NWC Household Health Survey. We asked them about their mental and physical health and the care they access, housing, lifestyle, social issues, environment, and many other factors.
At this virtual conference, we will be sharing the findings from this large household survey, highlighting many inequalities across the North West Coast region. Speakers will include researchers from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, and we will hear from a member of the public who has helped with the survey as an active public adviser. We will also host virtual round table discussions about the findings and how to address them in practice:
Prof Ben Barr, Prof in Applied Public Health (University of Liverpool)
Prof Rhiannon Corcoran, Prof of Psychology & Public Mental Health (University of Liverpool)
Prof Ana Alfirevic, Prof in Pharmacology & Therapeutics (University of Liverpool)
Dr Clarissa Giebel, Research Fellow at NIHR ARC NWC (University of Liverpool)
Dr Jennifer Downing, Research Fellow at NIHR ARC NWC (University of Liverpool)
Helen Mulholland, Research Assistant (University of Liverpool)
