Engaging partners in research and interventions for change, such as health and care professionals, local authorities, or those working in the voluntary sector to take just a few examples, is a challenge many of us grapple with and seek to find innovative ways of responding to. In this workshop, as part of opening up a dialogue about how we might pursue engagement and change collaboratively through research, Dr Katalin Ujhelyi Gomez will introduce and reflect on the engagement strategy of the NIHR’s Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast using a worked example of collaborative efforts to create an accessible online resource on behaviour change designed as an intervention with health professionals to support their work. Katalin’s presentation of the project’s approach to collaboration, intervention and impact, is intended to be a starting point for a discussion with colleagues to exchange ideas about different methods of engagement.
